East Grand Rapids We the People 2012 CHAMPIONS for the STATE OF MICHIGAN
We the People is a nationwide competition that student's knowledge of the historical, philosophical and
current day applications of The United States Constitution. It is affiliated with The Department of
Education's Center for Civic Education, civiced.org and is conducted in the manner of a congressional
hearing - with judges presenting constitutional questions to small teams of students. The students must
prepare and respond individually and as a group - employing critical thinking, writing and articulation
